Hello Rudiger I received cylinder barrels and I cant wait for heads, so far it looks fantastic. Can You drop to the box with my order crash protector for generator and gaskets between heads and cylinder barrels suitable for big bore kit. Can You also give me some advice about using of new top of my engine. I would like to know how many kilometers I should do before I can go by all range of revs. It is quite important because I plan to do some track days and I belive I need to put some km on road before I will use it on track. Kind regards wojtek (Posted on 1/11/2013)

      Overall Impression

The attached power curve (118.7 nm torque at 5170 RPM and 102.6 Din PK at 7355 RPM) were measured at rear wheel. 102.6 Din PK = about 100 SAE HP (at rear wheel). The bike is a monster 2003 Sie, not a multistrada. (Posted on 10/13/2007)

    8. Driving mods. Give front fork... Review by Kees Mol
      Overall Impression

Driving mods. Give front fork one click more re-bound. Use the driving height adaptor to raise the seat 1 cm. Give back spring two rings more pre-damping. This will raise the back a bit, so the 1000ss Ducati Performance exhaust do not scrape the tarmac when having fun. On circuit days this mod will make the bike a little more agile to steer. Because of the bottom power you can steer in a corner (when on circuit of having fun) with a relative high gear (keep needle at 3000 RPM). This has two advantages, because of the wide power bandth you do not have to focus on braking and gearing back. Just put reduce the throttle, focus on the corner, its curve, surface and road angle. Because of the stiffer back and losser front, you will not get a throttle reaction when opening the throttle again. So you gain a little agility at slow corners and an easier driving experience when coming out of a corner. Together with the easier and higher gear approach it will cut down your lap times considerately. With my weight (85 kg) I always use a back tire pressure of 2.4 atm and front 2.2 atm. Have fun and thanks Kämna tuning for the pistons. This spring's master class I was faster in the 100 meter sprint than a watercooled monster 916 and a Tuono. I ended up second in the fastest groupe (behind a young guy on a suzuki 750) and in front of an R6, Suzuki 1000, R1 and Kawasaki 1000. On the straight they took me over(I am reaching 220 on the speedometer clock) with 260/270, but at the second corner I had already gotten them back, building up distance in the part with a lot of corners. When I managed to keep ahead of them at the end of the straight they were seen. (Posted on 10/13/2007)

    9. I forgot one mod, which is so ... Review by Kees Mol
      Overall Impression

I forgot one mod, which is so logical you can\\\'t understand why they did not do it straight from the factory. The horn/claxon is normally placed vertical above the oil cooler. It stops a lot of cooling air for the standing (back) cilinder in this position. Detache the two eleictral connectors on the horn. Then just screw the horn off, keep the screw (you will need it again). Take an ordinary piece of steel (about 2 cm by 5 cm by 2 mm), drill a hole at the ends (so you two holes in total). You just made a connection plate in two minutes. Paint the plate mat black (1 minute work). After it is dried you can attach horn to this connection plate with the original screw (with which the horn was attached originally). When you looking at the back of your horn, position the connection plate, diagonally down left (+/- 45 degrees). When you are sitting besided your bike (right side), lookung under the tank, you will see a screw in the bottom of your air filter house, doing nothing. Unscrew this and keep this to. Put hole at other end of the little connection plate on filter house screw hole, with the horn facing down. Use the screw to tighten. Connect the wires of the horn again (slide female connector over flat pin). Check whether your works. When okay, take a grinder and cut off the orignal screw hole of the original horn holder. This mod will drop oil temperature in summer (Netherlands is only 30 degrees C high at most)with at least 4 to 5 degrees. So with your high pressure pistons, you will have a more healthy engine than standard. The Nicosil threatment hardens the cilinder so much that you do not have to worry about wear. Overall Impression

Ruediger, I finally build them in. I had found two local shops who could do the honing and nicosyl coating. They both went bankrupt, so it took some time to find a trusthy replacement. I have included the horsepower results of a test run. Note that this is an uncalibrated run (because I was not going to change anything anymore I took the cheapest option). This means that the results are not corrected for slip and air pressure, but those factors more or less compensate each other. Specs: - open airbox (done myself) with K&N filters - standard fuel chip on 3.05% CO1 - Ducati performance 1000ss slip-ons (they are a little longer and give more torque and more ground clearance) - 98mm bold on kit (11.5 : 1 version) - One step colder sparks - Factory Mulistrada 1100 head gasgets (they fit perfectly, no cutting needed) Thanks for the tips, you can add a happy customer (no problem when you use it on your site). Regards Kees (Posted on 4/3/2007)
