Tuning Hypermotard 1100/1000 Paul Smart/Sport/GT

 

A client made a fiercy/his dearest wish come true in buying his favourite gadget:
the Hypermotard. Many people got addicted to this bike, just like Michael Porsch
from Lübeck. But the original version wasn't exciting enough for him - he needed more, more power and more torque. And he got it, based on a continually increasing power curve. The motorcycle makes in the open version with 2 in 1 exhaust system already 95-97 hp and is thus well going. The performance results from the 1100 cc and the revised camshafts compared to the current Classic or Monster models.


An effective tuning by using a Power Commander , a Racing air filter and an open exhaust system fairly easily achievable.


At this Hypermotard we did some head-porting  with bigger valves and put in some high compression Pistal pistons.  Through the open 2 in 1 system, a MWR airfilter  and a correct set up, using a Power Commander, the following performance data results:

    Result: an extra of 10 Hp and 6 Nm more torque.




    To show what the engine can performe here are two charts from may 2008. Vehicle is our 2V Testa Demon. That is the race variant! Not recommended for street. For road we recommend operating performance levels from 112 to 115 hp.

    say it makes sense to install the camshafts offer you put up at the hyper and if what it brings to torque?

    thanks for the good words, I am very pleased!! to hear!!
    how many miles you have on it now?

    the cam sports bring plenty of torque, peak rises slightly or the same, but torque deutlichst!
    of about 107-110 nm to about 117! which is in the middle range,

    a smile!! guaranteed!!

    see comparative curves from the sport cam

    should be done in one supplied inspection because the work is almost comparable and the cost about 400, - (which is anyway required for inspection)
    be saved, so to speak, then it's worth it!
