    Details

    This camshaft is made for the mixed use on road and track.

    Idle speed, run culture, etc. remains fully as standart cams plus increase from approx. 5 HP over the complete rpm range.

    Service intervals can be maintained.

    In race use all 2-3 meetings the valve adjustment should be adjusted and the half rings be changed.

    Or use MBP collets just right now - Service intervalls are much longer then original! (If you use sport- or racecams we always advise to use MBP special valve collets)

     

    This camshaft fits all 1000-1100 engines, like:

    • Hyper
    • Monster 
    • Multistrada 
    • Paul Smart
    • S2R
    • Sport Classic
    • Sport GT
    • SS i.e. / DS
    • etc...

    .

    For the 1000/1100 2V engines we got 4 different cams:

    • Ducati performance cams, with best mid and topend ,but less torque in lower and mid therefore ,designed from ducati for sport-race use ,road and race -requires more service of course! Take a look at this diagramm from red - Ducati Performance cam, compared to Ducati Kämna Sport cam - blue. 
    • NCR race cams, full race , lower level torque up to midrange ,but best topend power and wide open end at high rpms, best with carrillos or pankl rods for higher rpm limit, much more service required clearly! This diagramm red NCR cams 

     

    Please note the camshaft cap size by all 1000/1100 2V models, because of that we maybe oredering caps with 9,5 mm, we mounting only this size

     

     

    All 2 valve engines 900 up from '98 (ie modells) and 1000-1100 got cast pistons, if you are a sporty rider, the pistons should be changed to forged Pistal pistons

      Ansonsten bin ich hellauf begeistert mit eurer Loesung fuer den Schwingenumbau und der Verarbeitungsqualitaet der Nockenwellen. Die Kruemmer packe ich morgen aus, sahen aber durch die Folie auch sehr gut aus.



      Ich nehme an, dass Ihr den Einmannhoecker mit zur Halbschale dazupackt. Kannst Du dich mal erkundigen, wann das ungefaehr rausgeht? Timo meinte letzte Woche, dass er die Halbschale letzte Woche erwartet hat und mir Bescheid gibt sobald Sie losgeschickt wird.



      Ansonsten ein gluecklicher Kunde mehr :)

      Testing Kämna S1 cams on Monster 1100 twinspark (2010 MY)
      Thought Id share this little test on swapping cams only, always fun to try one thing isolated to see and learn something hopefully.

      The cams are labeled 'S1' as in Sport and are intended to do well in the oem rpm range and do nothing above that, indeed they stopped working just prior to 8k. Theyre pretty high lift cams and intake duration is 280 and exhaust 255. Felt like good quality, woodruf key slot spot on, closer lash spot on, opener lash was 0,05mm short on all to reach the spec card supplied, cam timing was close too, just minor adjustments.

      So I first put the bike in the dyno with the oem cams to get a baseline, I did 3 pulls then waited 5 minutes, repeating this sequence two more times to make sure nothing was left on the table for the oem setup, while doing so I mapped it to its best. Then I did the same for the 'S1' setup. So both setups are fully mapped per cylinder.

      Pretty good increase for cam change only, one may question the price per hp with buying the cams having them fitted and dialled in.
      I think itll feel like a bigger increase than the figures let on as the torque peaks harder, it also took on another note that I found well appealing.

      Difference in the chart is cams only, all else the same.

      TOM TOM after ride:
      Got to ride it finally, your worst critic is always your self, tried to come up with a flaw but nope, very smooth and very strong when you twist the grip.
      Coasting around at 2000rpm in first and no problem, silky smooth there, kicks in hard at 4500 and just goes, loved it.
      Customer had a nice grin meeting me so I reckoned it was good, should be good too as I did the whole map perfect, but you never know for sure until you tried it first hand on the street

      This one was with heads untouched, with headwork it will fly on top I think !

      die Köpfe sind angekommen und montiert, bin total BEGEISTERT!

      Motor läuft tadellos und hat richtig biss……. so wie von euch versprochen.
